Who are those Heartwoodes Guys, anyway?

Randy Rice Gettings, president of Heartwoodes, began designing these unique straps in 1996. Many months of research, development and input from full-time musicians have led to this ever-expanding line of the world's most comfortable (and darn good-looking!) exotic wood guitar straps. Randy has been a Hawaiian Tropic lifeguard and lotion salesman for over 25 years. Also a lifetime surfer and hack musician, Heartwoodes fits right into his lifestyle, "even though it has meant actually working very hard for a change."		Doug Linkous has been a professional musician for 25 years. He has played all over the country and settled in Daytona Beach, Florida 13 years ago. Doug has opened up for such name acts as Electric Light Orchestra, Jefferson Starship, Dr. Hook, and Atlantic Rhythm Section and currently is still playing professionally. It was in Daytona that he formed Heartwoodes with Randy Gettings in 1996 and they've been spreading the Heartwoodes word ever since. Doug is Vice President and helped design the Heartwoodes product lines. Doug says, "Heartwoodes is the coolest strap on the planet!"
